Sweetgrass™ ~ A woven design pattern inspired by the internationally renown hand made sweetgrass baskets of Charleston and Mt. Pleasant, SC. The unique designs were developed from earlier traditional crafts brought by families from West Africa in the 18th century, and have been greatly expanded in styles from traditional to contemporary.
The boldness of this design is a strong statement of modern taste. It is casual, slightly rustic, whimsical and gives the appearance of being hand made. Although it has a strong reference through American Country and historical roots, its casual and distinctive style can accessorize fundamental patterns in categories such as Traditional and Informal tabletop pieces and interiors.
