Centrifugal Juicers are the most popular and the most affordable type of juicer. Centrifugal juicers work by feeding the fruit and vegetables through a chute onto a spinning basket with blade that grates and chops the fruit / vegetable when it comes into contact with the baskets grating base. This basket /blade combination spins at a very high RPM. Larger chutes allow for putting uncut apples and veggies into the juicer. Centrifugal juicers are great at juicing most any fruit or vegetable, but centrifugal juicers are not capable of efficiently extracting juice from wheatgrass, leafy greens, or herbs. When shopping for a Centrifugal juicer, be sure to keep your eyes out for warranties of 1 year or less.
